Balancing the Winds of Change
FULL
Saturday June 13, 2026 8:30am - 10:00am PDT
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.
Together, through asana, breath, intention, and sound, we’ll explore what it means to find balance in a world that is always moving and changing.

This all-levels vinyasa practice is inspired by the sacred cardinal directions, the elements, and their corresponding chakras as a way of orienting ourselves — within the subtle body and in relationship to the natural world around us. Balance here is not static; it’s responsive, lived, and relational.

The first portion of class will be a thoughtfully sequenced, embodied flow — grounding into earth, moving with the adaptability of water, awakening inner fire, and cultivating prana through the breath and air we share. Throughout the practice, optional hands-on support will be offered as gentle, nurturing touch — never corrective — for those who choose it.

The final 20 minutes will unfold as a luxurious sound bath savasana, with bowls, chimes, and gongs supporting deep rest and integration. During this time, Jill Knouse and Tracey Coleman will offer optional hands-on support and reiki, while Melanie Meherin guides the sound journey.

This experience is an invitation to soften, receive, and attune — reconnecting with nature, intuition, and the quiet intelligence already within you.

Jill will be assisted by Tracey Coleman, providing hands-on assists, and Melanie Meherin, with sound healing.

Flight 108 — Stand on Your Hands
FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up
Inversions are an essential component of our asana practice. They increase blood flow and empower us to flip our perspectives! Weight-bearing exercises also improve bone health.

In this fun and functional inversion workshop, you will learn to refine your inversion skills, better understand these complex poses, and play upside down! Prepare the body with a dynamic Vinyasa flow and practice a few key drills to invert your body in common inversions like headstand, handstand and/or forearm balance. We will also explore a few commonly practiced backbends (i.e. wheel pose) that are classified as inversions as well.

Please have some familiarity with Vinyasa yoga (specifically downward-facing dog, bridge and plank) and an ability to bear some weight on your hands and wrists. Come with an open mind, an adventurous spirit and a dose of humility and get ready to explore the world upside down!

Are you ready to take flight?

NOTE: This workshop advances your asana practice by exploring a variety of hand-balanced inversions, not only handstand.

The Unsung Hero | Connective Tissue and Physical Resilience in Yoga Practice
LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available
Resilience is a word that gets thrown around a lot but what I love about this word is that it implies a state of health that is adaptable to the pressures of life and allows us to be more injury resistant. The muscles get a lot of spotlight, and rightfully so, but when it comes to physical resilience the connective tissues are the unsung hero. This class will start with a short lecture on how & why the connective tissues are so critical for our resilience as we go through the decades of our lives, then we’ll focus in on how that applies to a yoga practice with some accessible practices for all levels with some yoga experience.

No props needed but block & blanket would be great if available.

Forest Bathing on the Deschutes River Trail ($)
LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available
ADD-ON TICKET REQUIRED. °°° BUY Add-on tickets HERE. °°°

Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to “forest bath” and just means to take in the atmosphere of the forest through our senses. It is a practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness and remembering our connection to nature and each other. A forest bathing session starts off with a guided meditation deepening into each of the senses, and then you’ll be led through a series of invitations that offer the opportunity for deeper relaxation and connection with ourselves and the living world. We will come together for optional sharing and close the experience with wildcrafted tea.

The Deschutes River Trail is rated "easy" with some rocky points, no scrambling, and minimal elevation gain. Please wear appropriate footwear; hiking boots/shoes highly recommended.

BRING: water, a snack if you get hungry, something to sit on (mat, towel, etc.), journal and pen if desired, eyeshade, sunscreen, a pack to hold your stuff.

Calm the Mind Within | Regulating Anxiety & Inflammation
FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

Anxiety is characterized by activation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA)axis and increased sympathetic nervous system tone, leading to sustained cortisol secretion and prolonged stress signaling. When this activation becomes chronic, it disrupts immune regulation, promotes pro-inflammatory cytokine release, impairs epithelial barrier integrity, and contributes to disturbances in sleep, digestion, skin health, and mood.

Within the Ayurvedic framework, this pattern parallels Vata aggravation, which is marked by mental overactivity, instability, and depletion, combined with Pitta aggravation, characterized by heat, inflammation, and irritability. Together, these imbalances reflect a state of internal overactivation and dysregulated metabolic fire.

Yogic interventions, including pranayama (breath regulation), asana (mindful movement), and meditation, have been shown to modulate autonomic function, enhance vagal tone, and reduce inflammatory biomarkers. These practices directly influence stress physiology by shifting the body from sympathetic dominance toward parasympathetic regulation.

Expect:

**Grounding movement to reduce sympathetic overdrive
**Cooling pranayama to modulate stress chemistry and internal heat
**Guided meditation to support vagal tone and parasympathetic activation
**Integrated education (modern neurobiology and Ayurvedic dosha framework)
**Practical daily nervous system reset protocol

Bring your yoga mat and anything you need to be comfortable while seated (a block or meditation cushion may be helpful). No chairs provided.
